BEWARE
Be Aware !
IF you are looking to BUY a puppy
Beware - ads saying RARE
People advertise
RARE Whites
WHITE - NOT RARE !!
They are false advertising gimmicks to get you to BUY
Beware - HIGH PRICES
People charging over $2000 for a limited AKC registration
These people are simply greedy and these puppies are not any more valuable than a pup at $1000.
Most people charging very high prices usually have a lot of dogs to feed! They usually do NOT offer minimum 2 year health guarantees
So really, why pay more?
BEWARE
A lot of high priced puppies are being sold with Hip Dysplasia !!
PLEASE make sure you breeder offers AT LEAST a 2 yrs health contract against serious health problems. If they do not offer you "anything" that is a clue they do not believe in what they are selling you.
BEWARE - LOW PRICES
Beware of people selling puppies for low prices. These people usually do not care about their dogs or the breed. They are not knowledgeable about the breed. They do not know the bloodlines or the health problems with those lines. Most times, they are just people who have a couple registered dogs and they put them together to produce income.
BEWARE
Beware of people advertising "champion" lines
This means Nothing !
It guarantee's Nothing !
It does not guarantee health or show quality or quality in general.
The ONLY puppies for sale that are "show quality" are those being sold by current active show kennels who are experienced and successful in showing.
BEWARE
Health Testing
This is a tough one !! Some people do OFA testing. And they advertise it big time !!
They stand behind their testing and advertise their puppies to be the best because of this.
The problem with this is.. OFA is still relatively new compared to the fact that dogs have been around for thousands of years. OFA, not so long. Truth is ... Grandparents can be OFA good, Parents can be OFA good, Offspring - can still have hip problems !!
Right now, testing does not guarantee and certainly does not " cure" hip dysplasia in bloodlines. There is still too much still unknown.
As a puppy buyer.. you need to decide how important this is to you and what you will want and expect if you purchase a puppy that ends up with hip problems.
Between $1000 and $1500 is a good price range for a limited AKC registrations companion puppy.
Please find out BEFORE sending any money. It should either be on their website where you can copy it or email it to you.

REDS - NOT RARE !!
They are false advertising gimmicks to get you to buy !!
PLEASE
BE CAREFUL
Really look carefully at the people you are thinking about buying a puppy from. It is a lot of money, you want a good puppy. You do not want to encourage puppy mills.
Someone recently bought a puppy for $4000 thinking high prices mean quality. The puppy had severe hip dysplasia and had to be put down by 6 months.
Sellers would give NO refund !
SIZE and COLOR
Size and Color should not be a priority for buying or selling a puppy.
Size and Color are not a reason to breed. In other words, We as breeders should not breed for a "color" or "size".
Health and Temperament are more important - Always. When looking at other breeders, look for signs of temperament, if you don't see any, it is probably not a good breeder. If you can not go to the breeder in person, you can still get a good idea from pictures. Look closely at the pictures, check out their activities. Are they simply pictures, or are they enjoying activities ??
