Puppies !
Check out our main website -

Here at Snow Pack's Alaskan Malamutes, we are dedicated to providing our dogs with a life their ancestors lived. We spend as much time as possible with them hiking high in the back country of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Raising them with the spirit of their ancestor's is really important to us. We work with them to develop their native and natural instincts. Exposing them to a life and situations their ancestors had. Bring out the intelligence they are naturally born with.

Over time, generations of being born in kennels, we feel this beautiful and majestic breed looses that unique and wonderful spirit they are meant to have. This is what sets us apart from most breeders.    200 years ago, malamutes did not spend time in show rings. They did not live in kennels. They spent their time on wilderness trails.

We believe that raising our malamutes this way and occasionally breeding will produce puppies that their ancestors can be proud of.
We will be looking for special homes for our precious babies. We put a lot of love and care in to them and equally care about the home they will be going to.
If you are looking for a special companion, this might be the right breed. If you are really interested in the breed and all that it can be, this is the right place.

Occasionally we have puppies. The money we make off our litters goes right back into our dogs. Our litters   do not    support us.  The money we make off litters helps support our malamutes,   their equipment for hiking, backpacking ,  weight pulling and their events and activities. It also goes for their kennels and play yard fencing and anything else we need to give them the ultimate life. It does NOT go for food or vet expenses.  We pay for their normal expenses out of other income. In other words, we do not breed to support their basic needs.  Our dogs are fed Purina One or Purina Performance depending on their activities. Our puppies are raised in Pro Plan Puppy.  Our dogs are also given Eggs  on a regular basis. These are farm fresh eggs as we raised chickens too. They also enjoy  a little bacon grease on occasion as we do not want our dogs to be over weight or unhealthy. They also get raw veggies mixed in there food too as a treat.   Our dogs are also given raw hide on occasion as well as raw beef bones.  We hope to be adding antlers to there diet soon.
Meet Aspen
She is the foundation behind most of our lines. This picture was taken on 2/04/12.  She is 5. 8 yrs old. She is happy, healthy and has the best temperament and personality I have ever seen.  Her lines are full of champion show dogs and working dogs.
Though she is retired when it comes to having puppies, she is in no way RETIRED !  She is very energetic and loves to go, go , go. She has earned her place on the couch.  She loves to run, pull, hike, back pack, bike jog and loves water too.   Unlike a lot of "breeders" Aspen will never be for sale and never be placed in any other home.

Her beauty, intelligence and loyalty  have been proven to run very strong through all her children, grand children and great grand children.
Our Breedings -  We have had 10 litters in the past 8 years.
Since 2003
 Parvo Virus
This is a horrible virus that is highly contagious and is spread from dog to dog by direct OR indirect contact with feces. It is especially harmful and deadly to young puppies.

Puppies are NOT safe from this virus until at least a few weeks AFTER their third booster shot.  They can still get infected and die from it even though they have had a few shots.
It is vital that you protect your puppies.  Avoid public places with your puppy until he/she is safe.
I am posting this because it is becoming an increasing problem around the world, not just in the U.S.
Meet Ruger
This beautiful boy is the son of Aspen and Nador !  He is every thing we could ask for in a malamute. He is simply stunning and his personality and temperament is even better.  He is a great example of the puppies we produce.   He has proven to pass down this same stunning beauty, intelligence, loyalty, temperament and personality that his mother and father have !
